Partner Biographies
Sasha Borenstein is the founder and has been the educational force behind the Kelter Center for 33 years. She has taught at UCLA, Pacific Oaks College and has been a consultant for public and private schools throughout California. Sasha is a graduate of Columbia University, Teachers’ College, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education. She has been an educational innovator and teacher of children, adolescents and adults for over 40 years. Her passion is the translation of neuropsychology, cognitive psychology and educational research into teaching programs that work.
Barry Perlstein is the former CEO of SDI Media, the leading translation company to the entertainment industry. During Barry’s tenure at SDI the company expanded into 30 countries and employed over 600 full-time staff and 3,000 freelancers. Barry brought in Warburg, Pincus, the private equity firm, to invest in the growth of SDI. Prior to SDI, Barry was a management consultant for McKinsey & Co where he advised financial services and media companies. Barry graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School where he served on the Law Review. Barry has long been interested in education and has taught math and SAT preparation courses to high school students.
Paul Falzone is the former president of SDI Media, where from 2002 – 2009 he helped spearhead revenue growth of over $100 million. Prior to SDI, Paul was president of MediaMix Marketing, a Los Angeles-based marketing firm that held licenses to some of the world’s most valuable entertainment brands. Paul graduated with Honors from Northwestern University where he earned a B.A. degree in Political Science and International Studies.
